Magento – Configurable product always saying its out of stock

Do you have problems with Magento configurable products always saying ‘out of stock’ on the frontend even though you think it isn’t?

Why is this?

This could be for a number of reasons, but if you are like me and thought everything looked ok, you might want to double check that you remembered to associate simple products with the main configurable product.

Navigate to ‘Manage Products’, and select your configurable product… then go to associated products on the left. Make sure your simple products are listed below that and make sure they are checked, then save.

Solution. Voila!
