How to disable open_basedir using whm rather than php.ini

A quicker and easier way to disable open_basedir is through whm main control panel. This is an alternative to editing php.ini file.

Providing you have access to whm, do the following:

1. Home > Security Center > PHP open_basedir Tweak

2. Tick the box under the specific user account / domain in the list. The tick box heading is ‘Exclude Protection’. Therefore you are applying this to 1 particular user only.

3. Click ‘Save’ button.

Done.

If you don’t have direct access to whm, you can ask your web host to do this for you.
